In my Diploma thesis, I examined Christa Wolf’s work One Day in a Year, which is not a regular personal diary, but rather a collection of daily journals. I focused on what problems come to light in relation to Christa Wolf’s concept of subjective authenticity and her personal search for selfawareness.

Employing texts from literary studies, sociology and psychology as well as other works by Christa Wolf, I sought intellectual traces.
